Maybe the systems slow

I'm assuming you're refering to 'answers'. Yahoo is using the millions of users to answer posted questions. And turned it into a game. Google has been using paid researchers from what I understand, and they want you to pay to use the service. But I've also heard they were planning on cutting that service out. Maybe someone knows more about that.

But like they say....you get what you pay for.

Yahoo SEARCH is marginally faster than Google.
Google has greater files to search.

Neither has a spell check--that you desperately need.

I never use google. yahoo is better. I love it.
