I just got a Samsung Digimax d53, the batteries went dead after 15 minutes. I replaced the batteries and it is still giving me the message that i have dead batteries. I went to cnet.com and read the review that others were having the same problem. Any ideas on what to do???

I just got this camera for Christmas and I've been able to take several hundred pictures and a few movies on just one set of rechargeable batteries (Duracell 2650 MAH NIMH Batteries). Don't waste your time with alkaline batteries -- they definitely won't last.

I just got this camera for christmas and I noticed the same thing. So I went out to get a package of the RECHARGEABLE Ni-MH type batteries. They are better than alkaline ones, so I am told. I have not tried then out toatlly to see how long I have until the batteries run down. I know that since they are rechargable, then I know I will have batteries on hand and I will save me noney in the long run. The package cost me $17.00 or so.

no, sorry. It is best to get a separate charger and charge batteries that way.
