I've had a couple of crappy boyfriends in the past, but never anyone that actually came over for dinner with my family. And I'm 23! They already don't like the idea of him, he's kind of a bad boy with a kid etc, but I adore him! So they've agreed to have him over, and I'm scared it'll be awkward etc...
Is there anything I can do? What if we have nothing to talk about? Or they hate him? :-/

Chances are, they will hate him. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it happens a lot, especially if they already have a preconcieved notion about him. All you can do is guage his reaction and response to them, warn him as fairly as possible about them, and see how it goes! You never know it may not be totally horrible! Good luck, girl!

The only thing they should worry about is how he treats you. If he's good to you and genuinely cares about you, it will show. Just relax and have a good time. Merry Christmas!

No matter what happens, no matter anyone says, stand by him (unless he acts a total fool). Your support will mean a lot to him and will show your parents that you care about him.

Break up with him, but only after he gives you your Christmas present.
