Execellent question Shiraz!
Muslims DO belive in Jesus but not the way Christians do. I have come across this many times in my talks with Muslims. Because they have been told all they need to be "saved" is to belive in Jesus--the Muslim replies "but I do". Correct me if im wrong but your question is pre-supposing Muslims are "playing it safe" since they belive in those prophets. But since the latter is not true (Jews and Christians not beliveing in Mohammed), why not play it safe?
But to answer your question, IF we are wrong, then by the words of the Qu'ran, we will be condemned because Allah sent His prophet and we did not belive in him. (sorta like in the Bible it says "It was better for you to not of known to have known...")

Actually Muslims believe in all the Prophets Muhammed, Jesus and Moses. The Christians believe in Jesus (incoreectly) and Moses but not Muhammed. The Jews only believe in Moses and reject Jesus and Muhammed.
All world religions say that all other religions are OK except Christianity and Islam which claim they alone are correct. Of these two Christians commit idolatry - they worship a human being (Prophet Jesus ) in addition to the one God - in fact Christians follow Paul of Tsuarus who invented the myth of the trinity rather than Jesus who never preached the pagan belief that he was God or the son of God etc. Thus because they commit idolatry Christians are in big trouble - the only way for tehm to attain salvation is to accept true monotheism -namely Islam the religion of all the prophets

You're just as mistaken as they are with the idea that only one religion is good.
Muslims, Jews, Christians, Hindus all have an equal chance. It doesn't matter how many prophets they believe in.
A good Muslim is better than a bad Christian and a good Jew is better than a bad Muslim and good person who doesn't follow any religion has just as much chance for a better afterlife.
Your question sounds like disguised fundamentalism.
ps. most Jews don't believe that Jesus is a prophet.

Even the demons believe in Jesus and shudder...that does not mean they followed what he proclaimed. Muslims do not believe what Jesus said...you cannot ask this question, it is inherently wrong in the asking. Period.
In addition, I have no doubts that Mohammed lived and believed what he believed...I simply know he was wrong. He did not live a sinless life, he is not God...Jesus is. That simple...Jesus is the I AM.

The claim that Muslims believe in Jesus and Moses is false. The Isa of Islam has nothing at all to do with the Jesus Christ of Christianity. For one thing (Jesus was the son of Mary,a direct descendant of King David) .Isa of Islam (was the son of Myriam, the sister of Haroun, and Musa, supposedly Aaron and Moses): We all know that Myriam,Moses, and Aaron died a long time before Jesus was born.
It will be the Muslims who will be shocked when they die,and stand in judgment, and they realize that Muhammad was the (messenger of Lucifer):

While Muslims believe that there was someone named Jesus, they reject all of his teachings, and reject his death on the cross. While they claim to believe in Jesus, they reject everything he said and did. How can you claim to believe in him when you dishonor him that way?
If Jesus was truly a prophet, they you have to accept his teachings, such as "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man can come to God except through me. Verily, verily I say to you, I am the Door of the sheep. All others are thieves and robbers. I am the Door. If by Me any man enters in, he shall be saved. the thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy. I am come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly."
Sounds like Jesus thought he was more that just a prophet, but the only way to salvation. if you say you believe in him, please take the time to find out what he actually said and did.

Simple put. According to the Bible, Jesus was and is the fleshly manifestation of God.
The Bible identifies Jesus as The Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End the First and the Last. He who was, is, and is to come - The Almighty.

You are not responsible for their deeds. Yes what you can do is to tell them the truth. Islam is the only religion from beginning to the end. Jews and Christians don't believe in Muhammad(pbuh), and Jews don't believe in Jesus. As per Muslims belief, all the messengers/prophets came to complete their pert of Islam. Muhammad finally completed it. Since the next one modified or canceled the teachings of his predecessor, they hesitate to follow him.

The number of people one believes in is not relevant to christians and jews. we feel that what you believe is more important than who you acknowledge as possibly inspiring.
jews feel fully committed in their worship of Jehovah, waiting for their messiah. Christians feel fully committed in their worship of Jehovah too, with Jesus as their messiah. Neither feels a need to incorporate muhammed into their belief system...Mohamed does not add anything to their current satisfaction...both christians and jews are satifised with their "one god" and so mohammed's religion of "one god" does not add anything new.

I suppose it depends. None of us can really know at this point I don't think. If one religion is "right", then I suppose the punishment for not believing it would be whatever the god of that faith said. Christians say Hell, I don't know what Muslims and Jews say.
