Where you want to live depends upon yourself and anyone else who is moving with you. Since I live in New York City, I would suggest maybe Queens. And then go to maybe Woodside, Elmhurst, Astoria, Jackson Heights, or Howard Beach; you should really go on the computer or to an information source to research more of Queens and New York City transportation systems such as scedules or subway stops. Good luck!!!!

Southern Dutchess County (like Fishkill, Beacon, Wappingers Falls) is about an hour by Metro-North into NYC. There's two train stations within 15 minutes of pretty much anywhere in that area. Otherwise, I'd say Rockland County isn't too terrible - and you can take NJ Transit into Hoboken and take the PATH right in.

I think we would be able to answer this question better if you gave us a price range. Also, would you consider moving to Long Island, Westchester or NJ, or do you only want to move to somewhere in the outer boroughs?
