What kind of friend are you planning to be! dating a friend's ex is a big NO ever since i can remember ! and it's even worse in this case since you already know that your friend still loves his ex

NO... that is so not okay... if your best friend.. your boy or whatever is still in love with her then that means hes NOT over her yet... give the boy sometime... be the good friend... and it really depends on who broke up with who.. if he did it then that means something like i can do better i dont need her... but if she broke up with him... BACK OFF....

i wouldn't go there
if u do go out with your best friend's ex chances are that it might not go well and you'll break up
not only that but you'll lose your best friend when he found out and you'll end up lonely and you just hurt your best friend over some girl

I think that it is only ok if you talk to him and tell him that you like her and that she likes you but if he does not want you to date her then you will not. You should always tell him what is going on and not hide anything from him if he is your best friend then he will understand.
