Ok..there is a religious phrase that I was told a year ago, and its in Japanese, I only know how to say it and spelled it the way it sounds - "nom mio ring gai kyo". Can anyone translate it, for what it truly means. Also how would I find it written in Japanese characters? Thank you.

The above person is right.

It's called "daimoku". Nichiren Buddhists pray in front of a Buddhist altar saying it repeatedly. Most of the Japanese including me don't know what it means.

It's Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo. it expresses the devotion of Shakyamuni Buddha's devotion to a part of teachings

i dont know the translation of this phrase or the japanese characters of this phrase, but i can help you if you want to learn how to write in japanese characters....
