I think she has a bad attitude. She should appreciate that someones loves her enough to give her an engagement ring and to marry her. She should be focusing on how in love she is. Now a small side note: it is actually okay in my opinion to not love the ring itself. But out of respect for what it represents, she should never complain or b***h about it; at the very most vent to her best girl-friend. I still think it is very wrong on her part, though.

Didn't they look at rings together so he would know what she likes? I think most couples do that. Is he not letting her have any input into what kind of rings they get? If she really does not like the ring, she should be honest with your brother and they could go together and exchange it. If she is good to him otherwise, I think they could work this issue out.

I hope your brother has a good job because it seems like he is marrying a material girl. One who when she wnats something it's the best, So warn your brother that if she's getting all riled up on an engagment ring what will happen when she need a house, a car,and on jewlery it's going to ahve to be the best. SO I hope he either has a lot of money or open his eyes and see what he is planning on marrying. SO Good Luck.

She is what you call high-maintenance and I hope your brother REALLY knows what he is getting himself in to. I hope they don't have any kids together yet. Seriously because if they don't, now would be a great time to exit to the left . lol Seriously, my sister in law, she is the same way as the girl you are talking about. Only my brother and her are married now for 1 year and have a baby already. She is always expecting expensive things like Prada purses and Louis Vuiton stuff and Gucci. He makes a good living but they are almost in the poor house because the expensive way they try to live. Especially her.

A lot of women complain about this. Spend some more time reading past posts on these boards, and you'll see.

I personally think that it's the symbol behind the ring, not the size of it, that matter. Women who complain about the specifics of their ring need to spend some time looking at their priorities, I think.

It sounds like she is a bit superficial and shallow to me. She should be glad that it is not like every one elses. Tell her that Princess Diana's engagement ring was a Sapphire surrounded by smaller diamonds. Similar to hers. That should make her feel better. If she doesn't believe you tell her to look here:

I think your brother should break the engagement and throw the wedding. It might sound harsh, but he would have to spend the rest of his life with someone who complains b/c they don't have the best of everything.

I think she should be grateful. Not all women get engagement rings because he man can't afford one. If she's acting like this now, what is she going to be like later on??

I hope to have one of those in the near future. I think the girl is a bi*ch and I don't like her attitude. She has issues alright. I feel for the guy getting hooked up with that one.
