Just like swear words and other slang/insults. I don't really get the chance to learn much of this, but I'm learning the language so it might be useful.

Why do you want to learn the insults instead of some good words ? That is very improper

Cabron, hijo de puta (to tell to somebody whom you hate, but it can also be used among friends in an ironical friendly way)
Puta, for women, means the other word that is not beach but sounds the same.
Mierda: rubbish, **** (it's not very strong)
Maldito + a name (person or thing): bloody
Pendejo is not Spanish, it is Mexican.
Me cago en Dios (Its an expression that sounds "cagoendios" or just "cagoen". Also "mecagoen" It's used either to express great emotion and unexpected happiness and satisfaction (for exapmle, when somebody gives you a present taht you consider too much) or to express your angriness for something bad that has just happened to you (for example, you come across a traffic jam, somebody has nearly provoqued a crash with your car, you step on **** in the street, nobody is listening to you while you are talking and you get angry...)
"Ostia" is also used in more or less the same situations, but it is a little bit softer.

The king of insults is "hijo de puta" pero you may want to spice up by adding "so" at the beginning: "so, hijo de puta!" Better even: scale it up: double it, triple it and so on: "Doble, triple, tetra, so hijo de puta!" Don't fortget to put a strong stress on each syllable.
But just call someone "gonorrea!" and you'll make his or day.

Well, you can use "Son of 1000 fathers!" is the same to say "son of (you know)" but it's "classy". Obviously if the guy did something very very mean, you say it in the original way. Say it like this: ¡Hijo de mil padres! If you really want to use "You Dog" use only ¡Perro! Not Tú perro... we don't talk like that. Merci!!!

My favourite Spanish expletive is mecago en dios, which means I **** on god. It's especially popular in Argentina.
