Sorry I forgot to add, I'm a sinner myself, in fact I'm sure to go to hell. I'm not in anyway saying I'm a saint or going to heaven. Just wondering if anyone is worried about it.

Thank you foghorn, I am doing my best to not repeat my sins but sometimes I do things unawaringly, not wanting to & think what did i just do? It's not forgiveness I'm worried about, it's mending the damage i've caused.
Merry Xmas

Not so worried. I dont believe in hell nor heaven as an actual "PLACE". We are human, were not perfect, I do my best to have a good heart and be kind and thankful and non judgemental of others as it is not my place. I see too many "christians" as they call themselves being overly self righteous and casting doubt and judgement on others and I think they have more to worry about than the average joe. My life or whatever after this one I believe will be based on how I lived this one and I do what I believe is a decent job. It does no good to worry anyway, someday we will all just know.

no one is perfect so everyone commits sins once in a while but if you ask god for forgiveness and never do the sin again god will of course forgive you. hardly anyone realises that they might have commited a numerous amount of sins in their past . only few people remember to worry about judgement day. i am very worried because i have commited sins just like the next person, but i'm a believer so i believe that i deserve the punishment i get.
the only thought that will get me through it is that i know that i will go to heaven in the and and that i will have rightfully deserved it.
cut down on sins and ask for forgiveness every day and as much as possible.

Relax - heaven and hell don't exist.
If you've wrecked peoples lives though you should make it right if possible or at least stop being such a sh*t in the future.
Consider that the guilt you feel is punishment enough and means you're a good enough person to behave differently when you get another chance to make a difference in someone's life.

Have you stopped ruining peoples lives? If so, thank yourself that you have achieved this aim.
All Gods/Deities forgive. Find your Deity, ask foregiveness, and it will be granted. See a Christian Priest, a Muslim Imam, a Rabbi or whatever your faith is. If you have no Faith, then a Holy Man or Woman, of any Faith, will still advise you.
Make sure you do not ruin other peoples lives. If you wish, you can make amends by helping peoples lives - do some voluntary work for a charity.

Yes. There seems to be no end to the things I do wrong because I'm basically selfish.I get a bit depressed about this at times. However I think that God only can change us if we are willing. We cannot do it alone with the unaided will.

No. Heaven and Hell is a bit like Santa Claus for grown ups. It has been invented to encourage people to be good by frightening them. A truly good person would do as their moral sense told them regardless of whether a religion was going to send them to heaven or hell for it. It is selfish to worry about whether you are going to be rewarded or punished. Think about the needs of others and do good because you want to and you will feel better for it.

I worry about the consequences my actions have on other people/animals/the environment, not whether or not it makes an invisible tyrant god of which there is no proof happy.

Well if you feel guilty for the sin you've done and regret it, Allah is forgiving and merciful, it is never too late. Yes I am FRIGHTENED of judgement day. Anyone who believes in it should be.
