my dog was depressed as soon as she got a bit bigger, i could see she looked kind of uncomfortable too when lying down, she was like that for about 3 wks after the birth too.

No dogs do not get depressed. When a dog is not acting normal, it usually is a sign of something else going on. A dog cannot tell you they are hurting but will show it other ways. Take your dog to a vet and have them do a complete checkup. Better safe than sorry.

It may be possible that she just doesn't feel well due to the symptoms that often come with periods. Also, possibly she is concerned that her body is going through an unknown situation that is new and distressing to her. I'm sure she will be fine soon. Periods are a natural part of life.

shes probaly not depreesed, just a bit 'fed up'.... shes pregnant and may feel just a bit strange. When my dog was pregnant she slept alot and looked depressed but its just hormones and 'being pregnant'... In regards to how far gone she is, when did she mate?? normally give birth 63 days later

No, it's not normal. You want to know how far along she is?? How can you not know when you bred her? Maybe you should take this poor dog to the vet and while you're there, find out how to look after her, help her whelp and how to look after a new-born litter!!

I dont think she's depressed more like she's slowed right down which is normal for most pregnant creatures including human!
