Download Direct X from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.mspx . You can then install it onto your computer and play the game you've just been given for Christmas.

In case you can't get it from the microsoft site, most games that require direct x will have a copy on them to download. If it asks if you want to search for or download direct x during the installation, just click "yes"...

Just go onto the microsoft website and get it from there, that is unless you have a cracked Ver of windows then it wont let you download it, i got then search google.com and direct x9.0c and d/l from there, hope this helps.
