well, go out tomorrow and buy a brand new outfit. get some new makeup. then, on New years eve, take a long bath, shave your legs, get a facial, whatever. Get all fancied up, and go out early bar hopping with some friends. flirt it up or call up an old flame, but not the one you just dumped.

I advise against it. You will end up picking up some trash that's even worse. How about throwing a party or going to a party instead?
There is a good book you can find on Amazon - "Be Honest... You're Not That Into Him Either." by Ian Kerner. It is great for getting over the old relationship, and it is good about learning how to become picky, but not too picky in a wrong way and how to pick up a better guy.

Don't you believe that you should lie back awhile to heal from the last one. The worst thing you want to do is get someone on the rebound.
What you should do as the same thing you did to catch that other guy. Most important of all accept your mission - to get a guy - stand tall - shoulders back - a great amount of love for yourself - get out there and start hunting - be at all the happening places - don't sit home and gourge yourself on Hagen Dazs.

maybe before you hook up with someone new, you should be friends with that person first. And i volunteer myself and I'm available if you want a friend or something deeper then that.
