Hi we mated our dashound x jack russel with a dog a fair few weeks ago but we cannot remember the exact date becasue ive misplaced my calendar!
So just wondering if anyone can give me a guestimated time of arrival i would say it was 6-7 weeks ago when she was in season and now her stomach is really hard and shes alot fatter and eating loads more and also her nipples are really red and swolen!
Yesterday she also has some horrible smelly liquid come from her vagina not alot but enough to mark my cushion!
Maybe someone out there is an experienced dog breader who can explain the latter symtom and when to expect!
By the way we are a loving family home and will take good care of these puppys before anyone slates us for breeding as ive seen a few snotty answers!!!!!to previous questions

cant see the point of slagging folk off...whats done is done now is the time to help not make inane remarks.......i would take her to the vet as soon as possible as a smelly discharge is not a good sign there may be a problem with a puppy they will be able to help you...good luck and please consider spaying your dog as you dont want to be overrun with puppies that you cannot home....

You dog will be due to have her pups in about 3 more weeks. Dogs carry for 9 weeks (give or take a day or two) or 60-63 days. Start keeping a close eye on her (because of not knowing the exact date) in about a week and a half). That way you know when she goes into labor. As long as she does not have any trouble, don't worry. Have emergancy numbers handy just in case.

Sorry, I did not read the whole question: Some dogs will discharge a week or so before they deliver...I have not had one with a horrible smell to it (maybe a "bloody" smell, but not horrible). I think she needs to see a vet about that.

dogs generally whelp 63-65 days after breeding. plus or minus 5 days on either side. Once they have milk it is around a week to whelping. All dogs are different as are all pregnancies. Has she been seen by her vet? I would call the office and tell them about the smelly discharge.

You are a BYB....of MUTTS. That is what you call yourself. Breeding MUTTS for money....or what you hope is money, but they are not worth more than the wormer you will hopefully give them.

And no GOOD and EXPERIENCED breeder would waste their time with you. You care NOTHING about breeding the RIGHT way, just producing puppies.
