Fear. A self preservation tool. I am afraid. I don't want to feel pain. I want to die by explosive....preferably nuclear. Not by a bullet in the intestines.

You will live eternally not matter where you choose to go. I serve God out of love because He first loved me and not out of fear of dying. Jesus takes the sting of death away so that we will not suffer the second death which is to be feared. Death for a born-again child of God is precious in His sight as it's just the door-way, the birth canal passage into our real life in eternity with the Father. What's to fear when you have a sure inheritance to claim of eternal life?? No more sickness, no more sorrow, no more dying, no more sin or devil over there and the flowers will be blooming forever. Peace joy and love for all eternity. You too can have the same assurance and hope of eternal life today.

I should think that, if they are strong in their beliefs, they wouldn't have any problem with dying. For a Secular Humanist such as myself, death is a little more difficult to accept, because for me there are no pearly gates or spirits lingering around, it's just the end.

So are you saying:

non religious + a desire to die = bravery ??

Sounds suspiciously close to insane suicidal tendencies to me.
