alot of people are confused about the trinity belief. if you believe in the trinity then you believe in the father, the son, the holy ghost and that all 3 are seperate but make up the godhead. alot of people say they believe the trinity and believe Jesus is God. i am one who believes Jesus is God. and that he was manifested in flesh. however this is not the trinity this is oneness. or monotheism. go to merriam websters dictionary and look up defenition of monotheism and trinity. as far as Bible talks about there is no mention of trinity. there is however Jesus saying i and my father are one. old test. says there is one God and there is none other and there will be no other. and it says God became flesh. john 1:1-14. short it says the word is God and the word became flesh and dwelt among us. deu 6:4 hear or israel the Lord our God is one Lord. so if you believe that Jesus is God then you do not believe in the trinity but in the oneness or monotheism.

sounds like the trinity if you believe in it is saying that either Jesus is a god or just a prophet. and if you are saying he is a god but not heavenly father God then what about all the scriptures that talks about one God and none before and none after. and what about john 1:1-14 bout the word being God and made flesh

or what about scripture when God said he knows or no other gods. and then rev Jesus says he is the alpha and omega and has been since the beginning. that means he would have been with God when God said he knows of no other gods. besides false gods and then they are not a true god. i believe Jesus is God. just seeing what everyone else says

and i dont get all rude and bash you cause you dont believe. yes i believe in God not evolution. if you think about it. it takes more to believe in evolution then the fact that God created the earth. and also what about baptizing? i believe to baptize in the name of Jesus Christ. like it was preached in acts. i believe there is a differance in the father son and holy ghost way that churches preach. yes Jesus said that. but it was a command for us to follow. i believe by baptizing in the name of the father son and holy ghost we are just repeating his command. first it says in the name meaning singular. we have a name it is Jesus Christ. second if someone said move the chair please. you dont say move the chair please. you do it.

funny you talk like you know what trinity means. if you look at were it originated you would say you are a oneness or a monotheism. cause originally trinity meant 3. 3 seperate that form the godhead. they did not believe jesus was God but the son of God. most people say they are trinity believing that the father son and holy ghost are Jesus but they dont realize the history of trinity and were it originated from

so you are saying that some of the Bible is true but not all. because new test says
Act 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
Act 4:11 This is the stone which was set at naught of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
that is also in the Bible. so Jesus can save us. now if you believe Jesus is God as i said scripture says that God manifested himself in the flesh and died for our sins. then you are not believing in another God. you believe in the one true God. and that God walked the earth as Jesus. i believe Jesus was 100 percent man and 100 percent God. and Jesus also says he was the alpha and omega. and God has also said the same.

so what you said it sounded like you like to use the old test but that the new test is no good. that is why i wonder why somepeople can think that the father and the son and the holy ghost are 3 seperate that make up the godhead. cause then what is Jesus a god? just a prophet? if a god then that would be 2 gods. a prophet then how was he here from the begining. if he is God then it makes since to me how he was here from the begining. i know scripture makes it sound like he was talking to a heavenly father at times. we cant explain God. but at the same time if Jesus was man and God then his flesh could have been talking to himself or to his spirit. just like people now who are filled with the holy ghost. there flesh wants to do one thing and the spirit another.

and for the part about father, son, mother and all that. the other part to the father, son, holy ghost, and the name is Jesus. i am a father and i am a son but my name is not father or son it is chris. and also if Jesus was not able to save us then why did he die on the cross to take all our sins aways?

The Bible teaches Jesus as both God and Man so He is one person with 2 natures. Yet it also teaches the Father as God, Jesus as God, and the Holy Spirit as God, yet they together are one God not 3. Yes God is far greater and higher that us and our feeble understanding, that is because He is truly God.

Both "Oneness" and "Trinity" are subject to the mind of the believer. I believe in the Trinity and do not believe The Father Son and Holy Spirit are sepperate. I believe they are One, they are Jesus... just as Jesus said for us to be Baptized in the NAME of.... not NAMES. Sad thing is though that Oneness preachers think because some dont understand the Trinity, that its the case for all of them. Not true at all. No, the Bible doesnt mention "trinity" and it also doesnt mention "Oneness" but the Bible DOES say "These three are One" in 1 John 5:7-8 and all Trinity means is 3 are 1.
I am a trinity also... I am body mind and spirit... all are me, these 3 are 1...So why dont I say "Oneness" instead? Because then I would be associated with those who think those who believe in the Trinity believe in 3 sepperate gods.

I do Believe in the Trinity (God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit). yet i am not worried about those that don't believe.. The power in Christianity worketh as a result of a true faith in the word or God ..the bible says in
Deuteronomy 29:29
"The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law".
After i studied this verse of the bible i realized that God is way too Immeasurable that we can ever think or believe.. there is so much more about Him that we don't know or has not been revealed to man
there might be 3 "persons" (which i refer as nature of the ONE GOD)
there might be 5 "persons" in ONE GOD
there might be a 1000 persons, all still boils down to the ONE GOD.
what we believe in true faith, that is revealed only by the spirit of God in us is what works for us.
I have learnt to Worship God in a Nature that i think best Glorifies his Name not worrying about his Immeasurable personality because at the End , its not just who we say HE is that matters.. it is what we did, or who we are to HIM as a result of what we believe HE is.

Actually, it looks like "trinity" can have either definition.
"1. Also called Blessed Trinity, Holy Trinity. the union of three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost) in one Godhead, or the threefold personality of the one Divine Being.
4. (lowercase) a group of three; triad. "
That's confusing..... So Trinity with a capital "T" means the doctrine from most Christian churches. And trinity with a lower "t" means a group of three.
Anyways, my personal belief is that the Godhead consists of 3 seperate beings who are united in purpose.

Jesus is God in the flesh and there is only one god. God is the Father Son and Holy Spirit. If God simply is one and can not be all at one time than who would you suppose Christ prayed to and who was he in submission to?

both are true. As the colors of the rainbow are contained within sunlight, so to all things are contained in God. God communicates with humanity on a level that humanity can comprehend or relate to. Hence the burning bush, roman gods, Saints, paganism, various religions and YOU. "God dwells within you as you." We have unity with God in unconditional love within our hearts.
