I have had a few random people come up to me and tell me this.
While it is very sweet,it sounds more like..."every single night at eight p.m.,I crawl into my bed and I think about yoouuuuuu" some times....
What do you think when people inform you that they are "praying" for you?

LOL..When people say that, they are actually judging you. Meaning they feel that something about you is WRONG, they are more in the right than you, and that they will pray to GOD for you since you yourself aren't unaware of your unrighteousness, but they are..

It is to laugh..

I always tell them to remove the beam in their own eye before they go trying to remove the thorn in mine

Wow, communicate some deceptive question. "Prayers provided via strangers had no effect on the restoration of people who have been contemporary technique coronary heart surgical treatment, an excellent and long-awaited learn has stumbled on." that's the 1st line of the object. provided via STRANGERS. Please study the damn ingredient. If a woman tells her mom "i'm going to wish for you" it somewhat is been shown to paintings in helping heal. it somewhat is once you have a stranger pray for somebody that it would not seem to electrify the guy being prayed for. no longer that any prayer would not have any influence as you're implying on your question.

When somebody tells me they are praying for me - or they are going to pray for me - I am so very grateful. It means they care about me and are going to put positive energy out into the Universe for me. It means they will see me in a perfect light.

I, too, tell people that I will pray for them - or that I have been praying for them. I do pray every morning (and other times too - but I make sure to always say my morning prayers) - and there are people and animals and situations that I put into my prayers. It may be nothing more than a positive thought - but it is there. It keeps them in my consciousness and my heart.

And when others are doing that for me - I LOVE IT!!

OK, well I've never had an entirely random person tell me that. I think it would probably offend me if I didn't know the person at all, as if they were saying something about my appearance told them I was in dire need of intercession...

I have had friends and relatives tell me that if I or someone in the family is going through a tough time, such as an illness. Knowing that others are thinking of me and remembering me to God is comforting.

I don't think they would actually include me in their prayers (unless I know they are truly nice and religious people who actually pray). But I am still happy because I know they wanted to mean "I'm with you" or "I am by your side," as an act of understanding.

I think that if you're in a bad situation, and they feel concerned, they will pray that things get better. Or if they don't feel concerned, they will pray that it gets worse just because they hate the crap out of you.

I try not to think about it--and your question is exactly why--I hope they don't remember me at the end of their day and pray for starving homeless children instead

it's a nice thought. Someone is thinking about you when talking to god. Like a friend saying good things about you to another person.

I assume they are well-meaning and intend to wish for positive things in my life. I'm not religious but I appreciate the sentiment. And, who knows, it can't hurt, right?

I feel sorry for them, since praying in reality is just talking to yourself.
