well i agree with the first part of what you said, tolerating other religions is the right thing to do. but why would an atheist or muslim obey the bible? yes people should stop insulting other religions but not because some book says so but because it is the moral thing to do.

The problem is that Xians want to force everybody to be Xian, and the Muslims want to force everybody to be Muslim. Their god demands that they convert the heathens and kill the infidels, while the atheists simply want to be left alone. To be left alone, the atheists must convince the religious people to think critically about their faith.
Until the entire world converts to one world-wide religion, or rejects religion entirely, we can not respect each other. I can't respect Xians because they want to enact laws forcing me to live by their mythology, and I can't respect Muslims because they want to kill me because I'm not Muslim.
And for you moderates: You may not personally want to kill me or take away my right to live as I see fit, but by rationalizing your mythology, you're enabling the fundamentalists who do.
