If you want to become a known artist, sign your name.
Initials are of no use!
I use black, blue or white painting ink on oil, the colour depending on the background where I sign. I use a pen to sign.

I sign my in three ways one is in the image that will only show up in a photo put on photoshop... that is to protect it from being scanned and made into a poster ......the second one is on the painted surface with a small brush in a tint of the background it is painted on and the last is on the back in permanent marker name title date and inventory number for easy tracking later be careful if you do the last as the pen can bleed thru is you take too long to write the info with it use very little pressure god luck in your painting we all need it......

Use whatever you want. It kind of signature to make your own signature and make it distint. So you could use pen if you wanted. Personally I'm working on a stamp, and would use paint. Or you can do it the old fashioned way and scrawl it in paint. Always a nice option.

in my view, I ingredient which you ought to sign your paintings. Signatures on a portray upload to it, because of the fact the viewer desires to know who did it. The signature is the 1st ingredient i seek for after i glance at a portray, particularly one that i admire. next, I rush residing house and consider the artist out on the information superhighway.

once your painting is dry, you take a sketch pen and sign it. Don't make it so absolutly visible that you look like you're gloating or anything though....so yea
