Nonchalant and "wants to be with me" don't fit in the same sentence very well. What's going on? Is he tired of waiting but is still mouthing the right words?

Okay, you break up with him, he's all nonchalant about it all and he still wants to be with you. Hm. Sounds like he has found someone else to go out with and just wants to be friends. I could be wrong, you never know!

Give him an ultimatum or walk away.

And next time, don't get all sad and emotional. If you guys can't communicate with each other without the problems, then it's over anyways.
