Although this year has been mild so far, i would make sure you have a pair of boots handy. when it snows, it snows.especially close to the great lakes. the weather can change so fast.

You wear boots in the snow. It snows usually in January or February for a few hours maybe 2 or 3 times a month.

Uggs, boots, etc.. And it really depends on where you are going to in New York. Obviously up-state New York will get more snow, as well as the border of PA and NY around the great lakes. Good luck!
