Hi Psychology=Love, I use Ministry of Sound workout dvd's and they sure have toned me up. They are difficult to learn at first ( I won't lie) but once you get the hang of the routines, you'll be jumping up and down like there's no tomorrow... LOL. I really like Deanne Berry because her workouts are fab! I did lose about 20 lbs or so (just over a stone) and I do them on rainy days when I can't get out and walk in the evening's, The dvd's are split up into 5 sections. The workouts last about an hour or so. 1st section- Warm up 2nd section- dance workout 3rd - high impact areobics 4th - bums, tums and thighs (GREAT for toning) 5th- cool down (fabulous) I really enjoy them and I now own 5 of them! Hope this helps a little.

Carmen Electra's ones are good, and they're cheap!
She doesn't tart around and make you feel like you're watching a smutty film. They're really nice workouts and leave you aching.
I combine mine with the David Swenson yoga DVDs as I want more core strength & toned arms. Rather than being a 'celebrity' he's one of the few Westerners endorsed to teach Ashtanga. The DVDs are really clear and easy to follow, and at a realistic pace.

Well I'm not a fan of workout DVD's , BUT, whatever gets you working out is a positive thing.
I think the best allround DVD is Giselle Fitness ABCD's, because it covers, toning, cardio, flexibility and has a pretty large variety of workouts. I think you get a lot for your money with this one, and its unlikely to gather dust, after one or two workouts.
Best of luck,
James

I really liked the Extreme Makeover Workout. I liked it becasue you can run several different progrmas based on the time you have, the areas you want to workout, and the intensity you are seeking.

Mari Winsor Pilates. I'm really out of shape, and even I was able to follow that DVD through to the end with no problems.

this might sound silly, but it really burns fat and make those muscles tone up, i use the prison yard workout dvd, it really works, and you wont need weights, just your body, its not too much cardio, but muscle burns more fat anyway
