Any fruits, vegetables, and proteins will make you healthier and keep you from gaining weight. It isn't until we introduce processed foods to the diet that we start having cravings and fat storage.
Good sources of protein are fish, eggs, chicken, turkey, and lean cuts of beef or pork.
Protein helps you feel full longer, and the calories it contains are easily processed as energy by the body. They also help to stabilize blood sugar levels, which keeps you from craving junk food.
You can't go wrong with fruits and vegetables. They contain no added sugars or additives, are low in calories, and are easily digested.
It is ok to have processed foods, like pasta, chips, bread, cereal, etc-as long as it is in moderation-you should not have a problem with gaining weight. And if when you have these things, you choose whole or multigrain versions, they are healthier.

I'm pretty sure all fruit is good for you.

But for other foods, just look on the Nutrition Facts label to make sure it's not high in saturated or trans fat.
