My 1 year old doggy had his booster injection on the 18th dec 06. It seems that ever since he had it, he has done nothing but sneeze, make funny noises through his nose and make a coughing, grunting noise through his mouth/throat. Could this be an adverse reaction to the booster or is this something else we should seek medical advice about? He has also already had his kennel cough vaccine a couple of months ago. Thankyou. Donna Smith.

Hi, thanks to everyone who responded. We managed to get Buddy to the vets and he does actually have another form of kennel cough. Aparently there are 12 forms of it, and he's vaccinated against 3 and was unlucky enough to catch one of the remaining 9! He had another jab (anti-inflammatory) and is on a course of anti-biotics. Hopefully he should feel better soon. Happy New Year to you all. xx

If he was going to have an averse reaction to his booster vaccine, it would have happened within an hour or less from the the time he got the shot. The sneezing is not from the booster, and the best thing to do is take take him to the vet.

I hope he feels better soon :-)

It is quite common for dogs to have adverse reactions to their shots, however, his symptoms are very general, and it may be best to have him checked out to make sure. You might even be able to call your vet office to talk to a vet tech first to see if a visit is necessary.

Anytime your dog appears sick or is acting funny, you should definitely take him to the vet. People on the internet can't diagnose the problem! Make sure you take him in right away, since this has been going on for a week, you need to make sure it isn't anything serious!

Kittenpie is so right. Don't take advice from here, it's always conflicting anyway.
