I think supervised dating would be fine at 14 & 15 . But no unsupervised dating untill age 16.

I really think it depends on how mature the daughter is. If it's supervised dating, I think around 14 is a good age. My daughter is 16 & I let her date unsupervised but I'm pretty strict about where she can go & what time she has to be back home. When she was 14 I would let him come over to our house to see her but of course I was always home. She's always had the same boyfriend, though, so that's made it easier on me 'cause I haven't had to get used to several different dates~

16. Old enough to be able to reason through their actions and hopefully use the brain they were born with. My girls won't date until 16. Alot of it is peer pressure and horny boys. I don't want my girls feeling pressured into sex and not having the age/maturity to make good choices. Dating is for companionship, marriage, and a future family. Those are not things a 13, 14, or even 15 year old girl need to be thinking about! I figure 16 for supervised and 17 for unsupervised, if I feel they have earned my trust. Call me old fashioned, but I'd love to get my girls graduated and married before I hear the words "I'm pregnant!".

Your daughter must be supervised when dating at all times until she is 18 years old. Don't let her date at all until she is at least 16 years old.

The more you supervise your daughter she's gonna think you don't trust her and if she thinks you don't then she won't have to work to keep your trust and then you should be really worried. I think that you should trust your daughter and make a deal with her. Let her go out with the person, after you meet them and approve. Ask her where she's going. like if she's going to the movies, what time does the movie start? who will be transporting them? And then she'll tell you what happened, but try not to invade her privacy to much. Trust your daughter, thats where most parents go wrong now days.

My parents always had this rule: supervised dates with guys that had a good set of morals, and that they knew well before 16. After 16, I was allowed to go on group dates with someone until my parents trusted both of us. Then, I was allowed to go out with him alone. Now that I am 18, I am free to go out on dates and such.
My parents always based their decision on my maturity, and they always made sure the guy was at the same level of maturity I was.
And you know what? We never really had a problem:)

I wasn't allowed to date till I was 16, well I could go out with a group of friends but no one on one dating till I turned 16. After the crap I pulled like leaving my group of friends and stuff...My daughter isn't even group dating till she 16 then I will have to trust the people she is with.

It of course changes with each girl but not before age 14. The rules (curfew, where they can go etc) should start off strict and gradually loosen up as she gets more mature.
