I live in Maine - when my Sony camera screwed up (under warranty) I had to send it to Texas. None of the electronic repair shops in my area had any interest in trying to repair it.
I would check the manufacturer's (of your camera) web site and see if they provide a list of authorized repair centers in your area.

many camera shops that sell cameras will be able to repair them too - i mean places that sell only cameras & not places like walmart that have a camera department.

Go to any electronics store. They will fix it for a small fee.
