I have a border but no wallpaper in one room that i want to paint over. The woman who put up the wallpaper in the bathroom told me something to put on it so there wasn't a line, but i forgot what it was. Any ideas?

Steam it off. or put Joint Compound on 2 level the ridge. U can`t paint over loose wallpaper. The weight absorbency will loosen it and bubble. good luck.

Dont paint over border. It will not lay flat. Once the wet paint hits that border it will buckle and shift. Remove the paper with Def wall paper remover (gel formula) .

1. buy a wallpaper tiger $5.00 and def remover $9.00

2. in a circular motion rub the tiger agaisnt the border
3. apply the def remover
4. peel the border off.

Remove the border as Diva stated. Definitely invest in the little toothy thing. It pricks holes all over the wallpaper and then when you spray it, it comes off really easily.

Never try to paint over it - it's paper. As soon as paper gets wet it wrinkles and bubbles and does all kinds of other nasty stuff!

Good luck.

You will have to remove the wall paper before you paint to make sure you have no lines.
To remove the paper use a steamer If you do not have one use Hot water in a spray bottle soak the paper and scrape it off with a putty knife.

You don't put anything on it.... remove it! It's sooooo easy to remove. All you have to do is use a warm wet sponge, go over it and slowly pull it off....
