My son just turned 5 and working on reading and spelling

By the age of 4 they should be talking in sentences.

My son has been saying 3-4 sentences by the age of 2.

Make an appt with his regular doctor but I'm surprised they haven't said anything about this at is the last yearly exams.

If they haven't you should see another doctor who is more attentive on that stuff. They will need to check his hearing and other possible problems that might be causing him not to speak

Ask your doctor about this. Most children start talking, in sentences, between age 2 and 3. If your child hasn't started talking by age 4 there is a real possibility of something being wrong.

hmmm not to put an age limit on child development but I would say by 4 your child should be talking a lot. Is he saying words at least or what? I would take him to a speech therapist, some kids have a harder time then others and sounds like he is.. nothing wrong with it, just get him the help he needs before he gets too behind with his english/etc when he goes to Kind. next year

Most kids start talking by 18 mo to 2 yrs. My son saw a speech pathologist at 18 months and we used a bit of sign language with him just so we could communicate. Sometimes they won't talk for the following reasons... pacifiers are left with them for too long of an age, hearing problems or high amounts of stress. Stress is very difficult for children and each one of them internalizes it in a different way. It's a good idea to get him looked at by his doctor, a speech pathologist, an audiologist or all of the above.

clarify to her that no longer complying with what you have asked/pronounced isn't an option when you consider which you are the discern and make the selections, and clarify to her what the outcomes would be if she does not do as you assert (outing, removing toys, no dessert). If she maintains to talk returned or misbehave, persist with by with the outcomes. persist with by. it is the main intense area. in case you tell her she would be able to no longer get television because of the fact she gave you physique of strategies, and later you supply in and enable her watch, you need to have a spoiled uncontrollable little brat on your palms precise away. i'd say 4 is relating to the time young ones the right thank you to press their dad and mom' buttons. stay business enterprise, don't be a type of wussy dad and mom that lands up on Dr. Phil because of the fact your teen beats your husband and racked up 40,000 money of debt on your credit card.

Mine started between 2 and 3. You might want to take him to the doctor just to be sure. You didn't drop him on his head did you? One of my daughters fell out of her high chair and stopped talking for awhile. She needed help.

if your 4 year old isnt talking yet i definately would have him evaluated. doesnt mean there is anything wrong with him. he may have hearing problems. if they offer it, speech in pre-school can also be very helpful if you get an early start on it.
