Does low compression make a difference?
Is it worth the money buying Pro-Vs or Callaway HX balls?

Hello Duffy

If you are a single digit handicap it could make a difference what ball you used, as a double digit handicapper you can save yourself some money and get the less expensive top flite type of ball.

Lower compression balls are used for control while high compression are for distance, however unless you swing as fast as a pro you still will not gain any distance from high compression balls.

Stick with lower compression balls, keep them in the fairway and get 20 more yards of roll out of them.

If you are keeping the ball in play I say its worth the money to get the quality balls, but if you are spraying into the trees and ponds I say forget them.

yes callaway hx hot balls are 2 piece and very long. pinnacle gold is made by titleist also 2 piece and very long. Most company's make some form of pro ball with tour feel and a two piece ball that offers distance and some feel. Callaway hx hot are probably the longest balls I have ever hit. I hit a 7 iron with a smooth swing 190 was amazed i didn't make my best swing but it jumped and just stayed in the air for a long time easily 15 yards longer when it comes to hang time.

you're searching at it the incorrect way. you need to get perfect for a ball in case you want to carry close those products. i'd hit the same ball farther than you because my swing p.c. is swifter. Your swing p.c. will make certain how lengthy the ball is going. Your swing will make certain if the ball is going immediately or not. A try replaced into performed with the help of between the golfing courses a pair years in the past the position a robotic replaced into programmed with a particular swing p.c. and fifty 4 diverse golfing balls were examined. the important gist of the study replaced into that many human beings can take advantage of creating use of a correct fee golfing ball(or excursion factor golfing ball) because there is not a lot massive difference off the tee between distance balls and proper fee golfing balls. the version is around the fairway. bypass for your community professional save and get perfect for a ball. between the pro shops the position I stay replaced into doing a Bridgestone ball installation a week or 2 in the past. i in my opinion like Nike One golfing balls(Nike golfing products era).

You will get the most distance by matching the ball with your swing speed. If you have a relatively slower swing a lower compression ball will give you more distance and feel. If you have a high swing speed and can fly the ball 250 yards plus, the Pro V1 is a great ball.
I try not to buy golf balls. I go ball hunting in long grass and around ponds. It is fun to find a new Pro V1.

compression can make a difference, but it all depends on your swing and the condisions outside.

ok.... for men's balls, they normally come in 2 compressions. 90 and 100. (everyone asks how do you know which is which) balls with a red number are 90 and one's with a black number are 100. a 90 is easier to compress than a 100. so hitting a 90, it will take less force to compress the ball. so on a cold day, think of using a 90. but also one your swing, if you have a hard swing it might be better to use a 100 to have more ball control.

women's balls normally come in an 80 compression because on avg. ladies have a slower swing. but dont be embarrassed to pull out a ladies ball on a really cold day, or even if you want a nice easy controlled swing. your partners won't be laughing when your in the fairway everytime and on the green in regulation.

Pro-V1s are great but they spin like crazy with short irons. The Pro-V1X ( I think it's called) is supposed to work just as good, just not back up as much with iron shots. Cold weather (or if you have a low swing speed) it's hard to beat the Lady Precept. Some guys might laugh till you start driving the ball way past theirs.
