Personally, I'd go with my grandma.

My father was raised by hard core church of Christ elder. My answer would have been my grandfather but since he has passed I would definitely go with my dad. He is 75 years old and has been a minister for over 50 years. He is now retired due to health issues but occasionally he will fill in for the preacher. I don't know anyone that knows more about the bible than my dad. He is so devoted that one time, the night before a gospel meeting, he was struck by Bell Palsy, which paralyzed half of his face and left him quite weak. He insisted on preaching anyway. He preached for 6 straight nights. He has had Bell Palsy, a massive heart attack, a massive stroke, several mini strokes, arthritis in his toes which resulted in him having to have the bones taken out of his toes, his left side is still partially paralyzed from the massive stroke and his left eyelid has turned to grow into his eye twice and had to have surgery both times to fix the problem. Even now, after all his problems, his face lights up when he talks about the Lord. He has never blamed God for his ailments. In fact he thanks God every night for allowing him to continue to live so he can spread the Gospel. He often quotes the apostle Peter who said,"I have learned, no matter what state I am in, therewith to be content." He is Amazing. Just imagine how much more amazing my grandfather was to raise a son who is devoted to his earthly father and his Heavenly Father.

I dont have many religious freaks in my family, the closest would have to be my Dad. Outside my family my best friend's mother is an obvious answer to the question.

My Uncle. His entire life he was a junkie, as well as his wife. One night, it got so bad that my aunt overdosed. My uncle says that he the only thing he could think of was praying to God, to let her live, and that he would be clean and spread the word of God. Well wouldnt ya know, they have been clean for about 10 years now... he was always in and out of treatment centers, but since then he hasnt stepped foot into one. His wife is the same now. They are both clean, happy and sucsessful people.

I also pick my Mom/Grandma, to my son.

I would like to be funny and say our family dog, but he passed away, (which could still make him more religious than I am, hmmm.) I am not a comedian, so won't.

My mom and sister don't believe in god. My father thinks that he is the god. That leaves me as the most religious person in the family.

Not including myself with my non-traditional pagan religion it is my mother - she converted to Catholicism after rejecting her family. She believes dinosaurs are lies. I got in trouble as a kid for saying Gee Whiz as she said that is a form of saying Jesus and taking his name in vain (honestly) and just like cursing. She also gets extremely offended at any science fiction movie that would show life other than on earth.

My grandmother is dead. But, she was the most religious in our family. She never said a bad word in her life. It was always jesus this and jesus that. Now, I would have to say my Aunt who is a crazy fanatic. She is NUTS

It would be a toss-up between my step mother and me.

Did anyone else notice that folks answered a lot more with a female family member than a male one?

Depends on how you define "religious". My grandfather is the most attached to the religious doctrines and practices of his faith as a Catholic.

Sorry about religion, but I have a personal relationship with God. Some of my family has problems, but we all love the Lord.
