God may allow it, but Satan causes it. This all started with Adam and Eve. They thought they knew what was best for them instead of listening to God. Now we are imperfect humans with diseases such as cancer among many more. Alot of diseases could be avoided if people would only listen to God's word. Diseases such as sexual, blood related, the list goes on. People get sick and then question God, Why? God wants us to all love him and believe in him and doesn't wish for any of us to perish into the lake of fire. Satan called God a liar, back in the garden of Eden, and he is still misleading people from God's truth. It's really sad that people blame God for the way this world is, when in fact, people are the ones that will not listen to God and his words.

Friend, show me ONE thing on this earth that is true, eternal happiness that doesn't erode to "suffering" to some degree or another and I'll show you a fantasy. Not even the sweetest '69 Camaro or Charger stays perfect forever.

According to the First Noble Truth that the Buddha taught: All things are suffering.

"Bad stuff" occurs as a result of cause and effect. It doesn't matter what you choose to call it but think of this: everything comes into existence due to causes and conditions. Radiation, mutating viruses and bacteria, mutated DNA and other causes and conditions of genetic illnesses and other illnesses such as cancer, etc. are a result of something else that's been done somewhere else, not because of some "god" who's like a mean little kid with a magnifying glass and a bad attitude.

The solution, per the doc Buddha's plan: developing an even-minded approach to suffering AND things you think are "enjoyable" and not getting too much aversion or attachment to either one (respectively) and cultivating a calm mind meanwhile conducting one's self ethically... and if it means within a particular religion that works for you then that's just as good. You'll find if you're not so attached to things nor bear too much aversion, you start feeling a little less "suffering" when the foo foo hits the fan.

_()_ May you find happiness and an end to suffering.

You are not alone in asking that question. This is of great concern to many people and understandably so. But God, who is the personification of love and who most assuredly has the power to put an end to such suffering, must have a very compelling reason for not having done so . . . yet.

He does have a compelling reason. A very important universal issue was raised early on in man's history. Profound challenges that affect us all were made and they, as well as that issue, must be addressed and settled. That is occuring even as we speak, and every single person, whether he is aware of it or not, is involved.

But when all is done, all wickedness, all human warfare, all sickness, all disease and even (Adamic) death will be done away with, never to plague mankind again.

That day is not very far away at all. In the meantime, we need to make sure we are on the right side of this universal issue. It means our very lives.

It all began in the Garden of Eden when Adam chose to follow Eve in her sinfulness rather than trust in God. Sin and death came into the world by this very bad choice on Adam's part. All illness and injustice and every other bad thing is a result of it. God has allowed time for all of us to be born and to choose whether or not we want to follow other men (or women) as Adam did and reap the consequences of the fact that they are unable to make the outcome come out in a good way no matter how well intentioned they are OR if we are going to follow God because he can and will fix everything soon. Understand now--EACH OF US HAS THIS CHOICE and it is up to us to choose God's side and life if we want to keep living. The Bible says 2 groups of people will be destroyed at Armegeddon---Those who don't know God (because they have chosen not to) and those who don't obey him. Everyone who is doing their best to know and obey him will form the foundation for the new earth filled with righteousness. In it, there will be neither sickness nor death.

Sickness does not come from God, it is a consequence of sin as does old age and death.

People of various religions have gone to their religious leaders and teachers to ask why there is so much suffering. Often, the response is that suffering is God’s will and that he long ago determined everything that would ever happen, including tragic events. Many are told that God’s ways are mysterious or that he brings death upon people—even children—so that he can have them in heaven with him. As you have learned, though, Jehovah God never causes what is bad. The Bible says: “Far be it from the true God to act wickedly, and the Almighty to act unjustly!”—Job 34:10.

Do you know why people make the mistake of blaming God for all the suffering in the world? In many cases, they blame Almighty God because they think that he is the real ruler of this world. They do not know a simple but important truth that the Bible teaches. The real ruler of this world is Satan the Devil.

The Bible clearly states: “The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” (1 John 5:19) When you think about it, does that not make sense? This world reflects the personality of the invisible spirit creature who is “misleading the entire inhabited earth.” (Revelation 12:9) Satan is hateful, deceptive, and cruel. So the world, under his influence, is full of hatred, deceit, and cruelty. That is one reason why there is so much suffering.

A second reason why there is so much suffering is that, mankind has been imperfect and sinful ever since the rebellion in the garden of Eden. Sinful humans tend to struggle for dominance, and this results in wars, oppression, and suffering. (Ecclesiastes 4:1; 8:9)

A third reason for suffering is “time and unforeseen occurrence.” (Ecclesiastes 9:11) In a world without Jehovah as a protective Ruler, people may suffer because they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Also, when Adam sinned, it has been passed to us and so its consequences...like a dented pan will produce same shaped pancakes....we are all imperfect.

Okay, let's say you can eleminate everything bad. How would you have people die? Not everyone gets to die in their sleep. Who ever told you life is fair?

Oh, you would eleminate death too? No death? How old would you have people grow to be? Considering all the degenerative diseases we are subject to, is not death a release from pain and suffering?

Where did the curse come from?
Gen 3: the serpent was cursed (all animals), the woman was cursed (all women), and the man was cursed (all men, and even the ground that yields food). Why were they cursed? Because of their sin, their open disobedience and rebellion against God.

You and I are no better,
Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Isaiah 53:6 "All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him."

Happily, that is not the final answer!
Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool."

You can have victory over personal sin.
You can still have new life in God.

I have Parkinson's and I don't blame God and I enjoy life. God did NOT cause this, He is not a God of sickness and disease. We are imperfect in an imperfect world. Parkinson's makes life harder, but has jolted me out of my complacency and I live and experience life more now because I quit taking it for granted.

The only life meant to be enjoyed is a life of faithful service to Our Father. The pleasures of this world are veiled by that which is evil and not in service and honor to Our Father. It's not like God allows the bad stuff. We choose it each time we seek pleasure that is not in honor of Him.

With all due respect, you are blaming the wrong person.
1 John 5:19 says "the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one."
Satan is to blame ....its his world, his influence.
You may recall Luke 4:5,6 wherein Satan is tempting Jesus.
What did Satan say?
"So he brought him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth .....and the Devil said to him:
“I will give you all this authority and the glory of them, because it has been delivered to me, and to whomever I wish I give it."
The world is in the devil's hands.
That is why Jesus always said his followers were no part of the world.
John 17:9+14.
God has actually stepped back, for good reason, and let Satan try to prove his accusations.
The moment is fast approaching when God will say "Enough!"
Psalm 37:10, 11.
