Is it true that you cant get viruses in linux or mac and only in windows operating systems?

No it's not true. Having said that most attacks are made on windows because it's the most popular and widely used software around.

there are far fewer viruses written for mac and linux but tere are some las year there were 15 viruses for mac up from 5 the year before compared to 15000+ for pc

You can get virus in any operating system, however, most of the virus attacks and spyware are written for windows, so Linux and Mac's don't get nearly as many.

In short no because u can get viruses from any where and most of the viruses target windows users coz there r more windows users in that area.

No, it isn't true. However, most people that are of the mindset to write viruses, do write them for Windows, because that platform offers the greatest potential for damage.

no but windows has over 64x more viruses than Linux and mac.

PS: Linux is safer and usually free
