Actually, you can find the difference between them if you are familiar with the styles. The Taiwanese and some other chinese society still uses old fashioned Kanji/Hanzi which is called 繁体字(hantaiji in Japanese) those kanji have more strokes than the other two. The Japanese use somewhat simplified Kanji which was enacted after the war as 常用漢字（jouyou kanji in Japanese). Mainland Chinese, Singaporean and some other Chinese use the most simplified one that is called 簡体字（kantaiji).This style was regulted in 50's under the policy of PRC.In this style 漢字 should be 汉字 isn't it obvious? The below are the kanji that has the same meaning of vast/large/wide in English.The right one is Japanese and the other two are Chinese. 广 廣 広 There are some more regional differences and domestic kanji for each culture whareas those styles also share many of them.Korean Kanji is close to hantaiji and Japaense old style but I think they don't use them much today, North Koreans even abolished Kanji. Vietnamese also used to use old style Kanji but not after French colonization.
