They are both between 5-9 pounds or so and the chocolate bars are those thin cadbury milk chocolate bars that are 100 calories. They also have little mints in it. They got into the christmas presents and ate about 2 of them. How much chocolate will hurt a pomeranian dog, I want to know if they will be ok. P.S. all the vets are closed and I live in a small town so thats not an option at the moment

keep an eye out for vomiting...that would be a good thing...bloody diarrhea means poisoning and can be fatal. most vets have an emergency number on their front door...or an emergency hospital referral number. make sure they are drinking plenty of water to keep hydrated if vomiting occurs. charcoal dog biscuits, toast, something like that will also absorb some of the excess chocolate. best of luck with this.
EDITS: i should've stated that if you get to the bloody diarrhea stage, damage has been done to the intestinal tract...do not give any food, just water or gatorade, and get to the vet asap. i've treated a lot of dogs/puppies w/choc poisoning. they really suffer, it's very similar to the parvo and/or corona viruses.

Pups are good at bringing things they should not eat, up, if they did not, they may be fine. One off feeding with chocolate will not kill healthy pups.

Starve them for 3 and a 1/2 hours, and then feed fresh meat, like a really nice chunk of lean lamb.

Dogs tend to like the taste of chocolate, but as you know, it is bad for them, so please keep any chocolate well away from them in the future.

Best wishes

Well, I think it depends on the dog. Your dogs will probably be fine, but I hope you find the answer.

Good Luck!

P.S. Cute story. Depend on the dogs to unwrap the presents!!!
