or
Mamy syna /mami sina/ (if it's a boy)

The best is if there is another English/Polish speaking relative that you can call first and have them pass the news along.
Failing that, just make arrangements with them ahead of time as far as what you will say--there are really only a couple things they will want to know right away, like boy or girl, healthy, mom OK. Work out the words you need ahead of time--either a few English words for them to learn now, or Polish for you to learn.

Ask your wife how to say it ahead of time, write it down (phonetically) & keep it on you at all times
