Does wine ever go bad?

I have a bottle of 2000 Beringer white zinfandel that I use as a display in my kitchen, so it has not been stored in temperature control or anything. It now is a coppery color. Is it still good to drink?

Yeah, you don't want to save a bottle of white wine the way you might keep a nice red wine. Some people keep a bottle of wine from the first year of marriage and try to open it on their 10th anniversary, for instance, but never do that with white. Blech. Taste it- if you have a lovely vinegar flavor, you can use it as such.

Yes oxidization occurs and ferments the wine past a palatable level. It can be used as cooking wine or mixed with a bit of vinigar and used that way though. It must stay in tempratures of 75 to 65 degreess, and in the dark the absences of light stops fermentation to a point also. If opened and not closed or stored right it will go bad. Now in your case 1.) open 2.) pour a small bit 3.) sniff (if the odor is bad then...) 4.) take a super small sip (if nasty then throw away.

It's done for you can use it as vinegar though. When you buy wine if you dont have the proper enviornment to keep it in, drink it, don't save it because it will go bad.

probably not. Only way to find out is taste it. Wine does spoil or turn when kept too long. Some wines keep longer than others.
