Chihuahua excessive shedding!?

Question

My chi sheds so much!!!!!!!!!!! She is a short haired chi. I brush her and it seems to get worse. I feed her science diet and iams hard food. I have heard alot of this has to do wit their diet.Can I give her something to help the shedding? Like vitamin e or something? has anyone had a similar problem?

hmmm I was hoping someone had an answer lol... well I did hear it might be too warm in our houses and I also heard electric heat and fireplaces dry the hair folicals in all the animals even you and me and we need a humidifier or boil water on the stove all day... well its worth a try!! let me know if you hear anything else!

Stress and anxiety can cause a dog or cat to shed excessively, If you feed her good food and there does not seem to be a skin issues, then I would say stress or anxiety...due to change in enviroment, new person or pet in the household, depression, Lonely...hope this helps

have you brushed her trying to brush the opposite way of the hair growth ? that does help . I have a short haired chi and he gets brushed alot almost every day. daily grooming should be an essential . good luck and god bless.

lengthy hair is nice but requires maintenance and u have to grow that out for a long time

Yes the dog is shedding because it need a bath bathe it every 2 weeks and brush it afther batheing it and it will stop nothing is wrong it just need a bath

I prefer hair that will is shoulder length or longer, And since that men who like ladies are more often then not straight, they like long hair because it looks more feminine, as most males have short hair.
