I want to cut dry ice into cubular things, like how regular ice is. I will use them for a science experiment. When i bought them at a store, it was just one long piece. I have no idea how to cut it, so I want some answers please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, I would also like to know how I can store dry ice.

DO NOT STORE DRY ICE IN AN AIRTIGHT CONTAINER.

Store it in something that can "breathe"...styrofoam is good. As it evaporates, the gases will blow up some airtight containers. Bombs aren't fun.

As for cutting it, break it with an icepick or something. Keep the airtiught container hazard in mind, though.

Also, don't hold it. Frostbite sucks.

Put a thin piece of copper wire on two blocks of wood then heat the wire over the stove, and presto. You know not to touch the ice right?

Use a very thin metal wire. Hold it taut and let the pressure melt the wire underneath. The ice will try to refreeze after passing through.

If you had a light saber, ya know, like Luke Skywalker, I bet you could cut it. That would be awesome!!!
