If you are concerned about what sites they visit on the Internet, check the History on the Internet Explorer toolbar at the top of the screen. Unless it has been cleared, it will show what sites have been visited. If it has been cleared, try looking at the Temporary Internet Files or at the Cookies. You can see those by going to Internet Explorer/Tools/Internet Options/General Tab.

Aww... well, maybe this will be for someone's good, so here: You go to HISTORY. Click CTRL + H, or up at the top where there's the clock icon, and click it. When the little window-like appears at the left side of your screen, you'll see all the sites that have been visited on your computer. You can check TODAY's history, YESTERDAY's history, and so on. To decide how long you want history to be shown on the computer, go to START, then CONTROL PANEL, then INTERNET OPTIONS, and then somewhere there, you get to see near the bottom "Days to keep pages in history" and "Clear History". Most likely, your kids don't delete the history after being done with the computer. If they do, I'm not sure exactly how else you'd find out...
This can only tell you about the websites that they've visited; you cannot read any emails that they may have read or check their email....

Your kids get off the computer?

There is a history file of all sites visited. BTW The fact a link is there does not indicate they spent any time there.

There are plenty of undesirable popups that will appear without being asked.

Ive added this for the smart ar*e kids that think they are safe on the net. YOU ARE NOT.

Parents : If your kid hits a child porn site by accident then guess who goes to jail?

Parents : Do your job.
But if you are so concerned then get pc savvy yourself and get some blocking software installed.

Computers really are not that difficult to use. Just different

You should be watching your children while they are on the computer. A computer-smart kid can easily delete the history or delete enough that a non-computer-smart parent won't find what they've been doing. Keep the computer in a main room so you can always watch what they're doing.

well, do you mean how can you see where they've been on the internet? Just open your browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc) and check under "History". However, your kids may be smart enough to erase this history, so it may not show anything.
Some instant messaging programs also archive all the conversations. You usually have to set this up in preferences. However, you will need your kid to sign on in order to view the archive.

on most computers there's a history button which shows you what you've been on in the last few days, like the drop down bar, other wise there must be some sort of parenting watch. i would google it and see if there is any thing you can download for free xx

check the "temporary internet files" if the history is deleted. in the details view you can see the date when they were created/modified.They seem to stay on the computer till you use special software which i doubt they use.

I personally don't think it's a good idea to spy on someone because people need to trust their children. But if you want to, you could check the history but if your kids are into computer, they could delete the history each time.
