In Burgundy and Champagne, a 600cl (8-bottle) vessel is called a Methuselah. In Bordeaux, it is referred to as an Imperial. These regions have many terms for large-format bottles which are as follows:

Burgundy / Champagne -

2-bottles (150cl) = Magnum
4-bottles (300cl) = Jeroboam
6-bottles (450cl) = Rehoboam
8-bottles (600cl) = Methuselah
12-bottles (900cl) = Salmanazar
16-bottles (1200cl) = Balthazar
20-bottles (1500cl) = Nebuchadnezzar

Bordeaux -

2-bottles (150cl) = Magnum
3-bottles (225cl) = Marie-Jeanne / Tregnum
4-bottles (300cl) = Double-Magnum
6-bottles (450cl) = Jeroboam
8-bottles (600cl) = Impérial
16-bottles (1200cl) = Double-Impérial

The origins of the larger sizes of Champagne and Burgundy bottles are Biblical, as the wine in this area was originally produced by monks, whilst the Bordelais names are Anglicised, dating from times when the region was controlled by (almost to the point of colonisation) the British.

There have been larger bottles produced, although they are usually given a name by the winery or the master glazier (eg. Maximus - 13000cl (173.3 bottles) created for Beringer Vineyards in California).

Eight bottles is called a methuselah in champagne so i'd imagine it would be called the same with other wines.
