You're all thinking about Sloe Gin. Sloe Gin is indeed made from from the Sloe Plum, which is indeed from the blackthorn bush. However, contrary to the name, very little Gin is in Sloe Gin. It is a liqueuer used for flavouring other drinks where Gin is almost always the core of the drink.
