Yes and I have found out this about Muslims and Islam.
Islam is a religion based on drawing Muhammad as much as one can in a life time. Kind of like the Mormonism of Arab religions, Islam (as in "I slam women to the ground and kick in their teeth for leaving the house") was created by a crazy guy who thought that his religion was a continuation of Judaism. Formed by the "prophet" Mohammad over 100 years ago, Islam may well be an honest continuation of God's word, primely suited to guide humanity to certain death through the magic of blowing up airliners over the Atlantic Ocean.
They call God Allah and read the Qur’an (Arabaic for "completely irrelevant history") instead of the Bible and instead of Moses or Jesus, their main guy is Mohammad.
Much like its brother in faith, Christianity, Islam is all about repression, genocide, S&M, the oppression of women and general misogamy, penis worship and Jihad.

there is something you need to understand, reading the Quran alone does not make you understand it as even some muslims can recite the quran but not understand it, and thats the real problem.
You may give a text a different meaning from what it actually is. Even Islamic scholars have to contact another to know the meaning of some verses.
Nowadays, alot of non-muslims and some muslims as well give the Quran a different meaning from what it actually meant, and because of that the prophet warned muslims to seek for knowledge.

Not being able to read Aramaic, I supposed the next best thing is to read an English translation, which I have done. Not the recommended way to read the Quran, but best I could do.
Interesting, the basic message is the same as the bible, love your god and your fellow humans. Then there is all the rest that seems to contradict at times.
Don't know what to tell you, I don't find comfort or spirituality in either, but they are interesting reads.
Yes, pagans read. And yes, we read books from other religions. Does that surprise you? We are a very open lot, we pagans. And we favor no one religion but respect your right to choose which ever appeals to you.
How about you?

I know six non-Muslims that have read and they still do.
We talked about their readings, and they agreed that they want to understand the Holy Quran.

You know, I wonder the same thing! Most of them have absolutely NO clue of what's in the Quran! If they do, it's from those anti-Islamic people who spread verses of the Quran and twist them around.... Like, in one part of the Quran, God says, "And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter... And fight them on until there is no more Tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God, but if they cease, Let there be no hostility except to those who practise oppression" (Chapter #2, Verse #193). But unfortunately for us Muslims, all the non-Muslims (and some uneducated Muslims!) read is "Slay them wherever you cath them..."!!! What about the rest, where God forbids that we continue the fight/war if the enemy calls for peace???!!! What about those verses where God says to let there be NO compulsion in religion??????? And those verses where He says to never initiate a war but only respond in a form of self defence??? And what about those "ahadith" (sayings of the Prophet Muhammad--peace be upon him-- concerning all that he approved of) where the Prophet said that during a war, anyone who's not participating in a war should be kept safe and secure and NOT killed??? And that women, children, the edlerly, religious leaders like Imaams, Priests/Preaces, and Rabbis should NOT be killed during war??? And that plants and animals should not be killed in a war? And that houses, places of worship like Mosques, Churches, Temples, etc. should be completely intact during a war???!!!! Does any non-Muslim know about these??? No, of course not! Because the media is NOT gonna notify the uneducated-in-Islam public of this! It's about time everyone started learning about Islam and other such religions on their own instead of depending on the media for accurate information. The non-Muslims just listen to what the media says, and judge Islam by how its uneducated Muslim followers practice Islam! That's soooo unfair!!! They should research Islam themselves instead of depending on others to tell them what it's about! If you're gonna judge the religion, then why not judge it by its GOOD followers who follow it the way they're supposed to?? There are such followers, you know....
Ahh... may we all be guided to the Right Path.

I did. I had to put it down for a couple of weeks after about the 13th page when it referres to if you think your wife is going to leave you then beat her and lock her in the closet. My mother in law Naffisa tried to tell me its like stroking a woman gently. I learned different. Im not married to Mohamad anymore. With the Quran its up to the individual to pick and choose between right and wrong just like any book. You know Mohammad only preached to females right?

I have in various translations, approved and "not approved". It's not an easy read but it's very poetic in spots, beautiful in others, and so forth and it's absolutely GLORIOUS to hear read to you in Arabic.
