Yes you can IF they authorize a conditional release. Notice I wrote "Conditional". Usually those are done with transfer programs ie blue to green.

No. One thing you need to learn, is not believe everything your recruiter tells you. You want to see everything in writing, then pray that the government doesn't change it, as they do so often. A recruiter's job is to enlist, and their bosses are after numbers. They're not known for their honesty. If you enlisted for one extra year, raised your hand and took the oath......you're in for that extra year. They won't even accept an offer to repay the money...they don't need your money, they've got plenty.....you're just stuck for that extra year. Best of luck to you......hope I don't see you here in Iraq.

I don't think so. I had a buddy while I was in the Marine Corps, who signed a re-enlistment package for a bonus. He tried to give it all back a couple of weeks later but they said no. So I imagine that once they've got you, then they have you for as long as you signed up for. Sorry.

I was under the impression that my Navy Recruiter had passed away years ago. He told me so many untruths I would never again believe any thing he said. I am sorry to find out he is still at work.

no, serve your contract.
you are entitled to everything in your contract, and nothing that is not in that contract.
No matter what a friend has heard, unless its in the contract, dont trust it. If you are actually in the navy right now check with your yeomen.

pertaining to to rank: you would be an E-3 for 28 months. you is particularly no longer eligible to purpose for E-5 till you hit 3 years. As sorting out is somewhat finished as rapidly as a 365 days and there are cut pass into opposite dates, you is basically no longer sorting out till 365 days 4. Then plan on 10 months to located on that stripe (larger TIS... stitch on faster. Low TIS... stitch on previous due) So now you're at very just about 5 years in case you're making it the 1st time. For E-6, impossible in one enlistment. pertaining to to value rate reductions: Deployments will matter on your occupation field and your base. some are heavily tasked, some are hardly tasked. you is particularly no longer deployed at the same time as in education and for no less than your first 365 days at a base. additionally understand that we do have some deployed places which do no longer draw to any volume further funds. No tax loose, no attempt against, no no longer something! And, you do no longer stay deployed.... you're long long gone for 6 months, and that they attempt to maintain you residing residing house for 18. (decrease back, some setting up extra suitable, some much less) via using certainty distinctive poster reported, your value rate reductions plan is somewhat unrealistic. 6 years earnings = 150000 (approx) 6 years taxes = 40000 So we are already each and every of ways right down to 110000. 6 years fees (in case you shelter on your VERY tight funds) = 28800 so because of the fact it rather is $80 one.000 yet what some motor vehicle? motor vehicle coverage? renter's coverage? (specific, you ought to desire to have that even indoors the dorm!) holiday? journeys with pals? going on dates? cable and cyber information superhighway are going to run you $one hundred a month. Then your cellular telephone... yet yet another $one hundred. Books on your college instructions... it rather is out of your pocket! clothing, very own aspects, and so on. Can it particularly is finished? in all probability. yet you ought to desire to be very frugal, no going out to consume, no having interesting, no putting out with pals, and so on. have self belief me.... those first few years could be lean years without longer various value rate reductions going on.
