Just suck it up and take the punishment with grace. That alone will show your parents that you are maturing.

Other than that, don't screw up and you won't have to worry about getting punished.

A parent doesn't punish a child for the heck of it. If what you did wasn't really wrong, I am guessing your parents are used to you making bad choices and maybe not being trustworthy. Get your act together and your life will be much easier.

Well you never really want to reason with them when they're all heated... believe me it's not a good idea. Stay out of each others way. Go analyze the situation in your room (you know the "Go to your room and think of what you have done"). While thinking come up with valid points of why you think the punishment is not reasonable. Once you can hold up a good argument (without actually arguing) go to your parents and calmly discuss the situation, with all the maturity possible. Try not to explode. Sometimes parents can be surprised at the attitude you've taken and are more willing to give in... however I do not guarantee that this will work but it never hurts to try. Good luck!

In who's eyes, are you not wrong?
If you went against your parents wishes and broke the laws of parenthood (a lot) And you knew the consciences
Then you need to pay the price.
If this came out of the Blue then
ASK don't tell if you can sit down and talk.
Ask them to explain why they feel the way they do.
then explain your side and why

Some parents are very strong in their feelings and won't
give in.

That's a tough one. Edit your question so we know what the punishment is for and what it is, it's hard to say without knowing the circumstances.

try to think of a good arguement (i don't mean fighting and yelling). think of some good points, some good reasoning, why you are a good kid, and try to see if from their point of view. good luck

sometime no matter what you do, you'll not be able to convince your parents that you didn't do something, so just take it and go on.
