I don't believe. For thousands of years the religions have been attempting to prove the existence of a man living in a cloud and always come up empty handed. The best that they can do is claim that someone said so. Biblical people were very ignorant, they had a 99% illiteracy rate and they also thought that the Earth was flat. They started our God Concept. Why have we been forced a accept it when we know that if you could be transported back to biblical times with a cigarette lighter and flicked it, everyone worshiped you as a God because you could make fire some from your hands while they had to work for 30 min. to produce a flame. Just use your judgment of right and wrong and consider that somethings wrong with a God Concept that has taken over 100 million lives and encourages the followers to ignore it. Some thing's very wrong.

no I do not believe in god. I do not believe in god because I grew up as a Jehovah Witness. All my childhood I was told the end was near that once the last person from Jesus era dies, the end would come. Well I calculated that the year this would happen and it would be on my 18th birth year. I never got baptized or anything. so I waited, and feared. I turned 18th and no end of the world. So that made me laugh and call them liars. So now at 31 I respect all that believes, I never make them feel uncomfortable. I even go to church with family on come holidays and celebrate all holidays. But as of now, no I am not a believer. I just live to be honest, true and respectful. Peace to all and Merry Xmas!!!!

As a Buddhist, who understands Buddist logic, I agree that there is no such thng as a "creator god" as most choose to believe in one (inherently existent and omnipotent as well as omniscient). The idea of a creator who popped into being from nothing is not logical considering that nothing this "god" allegedly created exists without causes and conditions, not even THOUGHTs are inherently existent. We believe that nothing has a finite beginning nor a finite end and everything lacks inherent existence, which science is continuously supporting with ongoing research and findings. Everything is impermanent and changing (unlike this alleged "creator god") and therefore even happiness eventually erodes to "suffering" (to one degree or another). To claim that a being can pop into existence from nothing and create a bunch of things that lack inherent existence themselves and so on, just makes absolutely no logical sense.
It's an argument that takes much more than just this little block to answer so if you're really interested in Buddhist concepts and the refuting of a creator god as most think of one, I invite you to peruse some books on the talks given by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, B. Alan Wallace is a wonderful source of dialogue between science and this philosophy, the book; "The Quantum and the Lotus" by Matthieu Ricard and Trinh Xuan Thuan is a delicious read... I mean there are tons of info. Hope this helps some.

ok first which god, are you referring to, I am assuming the biblical one? secondly, i do not confirm nor deny belief in a superior being. I along with the rest of the world do not know who the true creator of life is. I can only hope than when i die, that what i believe in does not inhibit me access to further journeys that i may so be entitled to. to say nothing exsist is total ignorance. I have two chidren, and the miracle of their being is all the proof i need to know that we are all works of art, on a grand scale. Which is to say a deity, whether cruel or divine has his hand in our fate.

i don't, it finally hit me that all religions are the same. all are man made and illogical. Why should mine be the true religion, why would god make me so fortunate, to be born into the true religion, while the rest will end in hell for being brought up with a different religion. Its our parents and society that make us grow up believing that ours is the only true way, while the others are deceived. just step back and look at the world as a whole, atheism is the only logical choice to me.

I do believe in God, Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit, The Holy Church, The Holy Trinity, the Resurection of Jesus.
The only think i do not beleive in that way is the old testament.
For me those are mostly stories.
I do not doubt that those events existed, but not in that way.
But the New Testament i believe it from the first letter to the last.

Open mindedness > Close mindedness
Step way back from your current narrow and close minded theistic views and look at what you believe.
A guy that knows all, sees all, is all and lives outside of time, space, and dimension, hes invisible and cannot be sensed with any of the 5 senses.
Sounds like something I want to spend 80 years worshipping.
Does that make a whole lot of sense to you?

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That's the main thing. Jehovah God doesn't care that much, if we believe in him or not, its most importantly that we believe in his son. Through Jesus, that's our only way to get to his father.
