A barrel of beer is 31 gallons, a keg or half barrel is 15.5 gallons therefore it is 3906 ounces of beer, a pint is 16 ounces that equates to 244.125 pints of beer divided by 8 leaves 30.51565 days to consume it.

Depends on the size of the barrel any where between 9 and 22. ( 8 pints per gallon) We have barrels that hold 9 gallons (bitter) and barrels that hold 22 gallons (lager) so it depends on the tipple and pub I guess!

Doesn't it rather depend on the size of the barrel? If it was a common 72 pint container I'm sure you can do the maths!

A proper barrel is 36 gallons, so 36 nights. A kilderkin is 18 gallons, so 18 nights. A firkin is 9 gallons, so 9 nights. (or days)

that depends when in time he was drinking, up until 1824 when the imperial weights & measures act came in Barrel sizes differed depending what they contained, even a gallon was not standard, in 1824 the size of a barrel was standardized at 36 gallons, so since then it has been 36 nights.

Since there's 209.998 pints in a barrel, it would be exactly 26.24975 nights....:)
