Obviously the best thing to do would be to go out and buy a laxative. As you're looking for something around the house to use, it depends on whether you actually have the right things around the house. You may still have to go out and buy something so it might as well be a laxative.
Drink 3 liters of water/day, increase your activity, a cup of coffee (caffeine) can stimulate peristalsis (the movement of food through the GI tract), prune or most any fruit juice if you have it. Fruits and vegetables, unpolished rice. It's easier to prevent than cure.
Most people don't keep Castor oil in the home and don't use cooking oil either. And don't use Epsom salts.
