I have a 2month old lhasa apso and im trying to potty train him..

sometimes i succes at it but not always.. for example

when i see him sniffing and stuff i quickly pcik him up [is that bad
that i do that?]

and take him outside.. he sniffs and eats the leaves..[how do i stop that]

after a while he poops.. thats all then i dont know wether to leave him there a bit longer till he does both of them.. so he just sits there eating stuff so i take him inside..

couple minutes later he pees in the carpet i clean it up and everything but he still does it inside nothing else just pees..i think i take him at the wrong times because i get scared that he might do

it again when im watching him.. as soon as he stops for a moment and what i think gets into the peeing possition i take him but he never does anything,
How can i solve this
Thank you for your time.

It's not too late-you are just beginning. First of all, the pee from his 'inside' jobs is still there (the odor that is). Unless you treat the area with a special spray that breaks down the pet urine, your pup will keep going back to that spot and using it. When you take him outside, use a leash. Keep him outside until he has done #1 as well, and use the leash to keep him from eating the leaves by tugging on it and reprimanding him every time he tries to eat the leaves. You are his pack leader and he has to learn to NOT do things you don't want him to do. Persistence is key!

It is never too late to potty train a dog. When he pees on the carpet take him to that spot, make him smell it, tell him NO then put him out on a leash and let him sit out there for an hour or two. When cleaning up dog pi.. you need to scrub it with hot water and soap. absorb the wetness then place baking soda in and around that area. The reason for this is; just cleaning it with water and soap doesn't take the urine smell away. Male dogs mark their spots. They are always going to go to the place they have marked, unless you take the odor away. Continue this routine and he will start holding it til' it you take/let him out.

Very first thing is with crate training i've 2 yorkies and i no that it can be a challenge but it can be done you ought to begin out as if it were a brand new pup and make certain that once he does go where your need him to that you just reward him most yorkies are very sensible however can be very cussed. For those who in a apartment you could want to educate him to us a pee pad or litter box. It may be executed but be steady and like I mentioned us a crate in case your to busy to look at him put him in the crate for a whilst if you depart put him in his crate this will maintain him safe and also you will not need to come residence and find little mess's each where. Excellent good fortune.

Contrary to popular belief, you CAN teach an old dog new tricks! Spend more time with him outside. He will eventually get the idea. You might also try to walk him/her with a friend and their dog. Your dog can learn by example.
