Believe me, Natalie (Ha! That's a Killers song...you should check it out...)
.....ahem - I would advise brushing first then use the rinse then go to bed so as to leave the rinse on to work overnight. Unless directed otherwise, I think that's the best idea.
Otherwise, you'll "apply" the solution and then brush it out.
Of course, if your dentist has advised a Fluoride rinse (like ACT, for ex) you should use THAT last and find another whitening agent.

I would say you brush then rinse. Then wait to eat or drink anything for at least 30 min....just like when you get a fluoride treatment at your dental office. By the way....EXCESSIVE fluoride does cause harm, the key word here being excessive. Also, keep in mind you have to actually injest it. Compare the amount of fluoride that is in your tap water: If your bathtub was full of water and you took a medicine dropper and put one drop of fluoride in that is the equivalent of fluoride in drinking water. So, it doesn't take much to be effective and is obviously not given at dangerous levels. You are fine to use products with fluoride...just don't eat it!!

I don't use any crest products any more because almost all of it contains fluoride. Fluoride is known to supress thyroid function and I'm hypothyroid so I avoid it. The blue rinse caused more tartar on my teeth and the dental hygientist said they n longer recommend it for that reason.

The mouthwash isn't very useful the strips are. a similar for the whitening in the Crest toothpaste. It takes an informed eye to be sure the version. Your dentist has thoughts that are very useful yet fee greater. DDS 33 yrs
