No. Where did you hear that?

No. Choosing which children go to morning and which go to afternoon kindergarten varies from school to school, and many districts now are providing all day kindergarten. At our school morning and afternoon kindergarten is a factor of where you live, for instance, because of bus issues. Another factor depends on the child. Some kinders just can't function without a nap and are too pooped for afternoon school, making them more apt to choose morning.

Sad to say...but yes. Not that the child was necessarily smarter...yet the kids that did show to have increased 'brain levels' did seem to be the ones who were in the early morning class. Thought that maybe 'not as enhanced readers' could use the early morning sleep and absorb better by being on a later schedule ? Don't know. I have three kids, now teens and one 20. I found this separating a bit ' in your face ' and many parents of early session students felt their child was 'better' or favored over 'late schedule' kids. Placement of my own kids ? Not of importance...I did notice the separation though and seemed there should be a better system.

I'm not sure if they are smarter, but, all teachers know that the most productive learning occurs in the morning. That's why many schools focus on reading and math in the pre-lunch hours!

You are smart even if you do not go to the kindergarten at all. being smart is not in such things - we all are smart people but it is the way we use this asset which we all have.

Yes I am a mathmatician chicken eating hamburger horn swaggling genius. If you did not go to kindergarten in the morning you would not understand it. Lets see if I can catch my own hair on fire. Oh yes it is burning and I am eating corn, cream style.
